See Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars Honor Sting At Kennedy Center

Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Mavis Staples and paid tribute to Al Green at the event

Sting waved his fist triumphantly in the air and grinned from ear to ear when Bruce Springsteen took the stage to pay tribute to former police this year's Kennedy Center Honors, issued Tuesday night. The other honorees of the evening were Al Green, Tom Hanks, Lily Tomlin and dancer Patricia McBride. Springsteen took a gritty turn in "I Hung My Head", Sting's tale of murder and guilt that first appeared on his 1996 album Mercury Falling and was later covered by Johnny Cash. When the leader of the E Street Band played one quick shot right before a gospel choir came out to sing, Sting just closed his eyes.

Lady Gaga and Sting toasting, singing and playing the piano during a performance of "If I ever lose my faith in you" off the honoree 1993 album Ten Summoner Tales. The singer gave platinum wig middle section of the song a few extra bluesy growl, after Sting had a blank expression that looked neither happy nor unhappy, as if holding back his emotions. But when she announced: "Ladies and gentlemen, Sting!" towards the end of his performance, he could not help laughing.

Another singer who managed to break their British identity Sting railway was Bruno Mars, who performed two songs police -. "Message in a Bottle" "So Lonely" and the singer gave to the previous song in a respectful action that does not deviate much from rocky skank of the original. In the latter case, Mars left the guitar for some passionate "Oh Yeahs" and welcomed a team of singers, the cast of Broadway musical Sting of the last boat, which led Sting to tears. At that time, even Steven Spielberg and President Obama were singing along. Gaga, Herbie Hancock and Esperanza Spalding (the latter two of which played "Fragile" by Sting before) came and joined Mars on stage, and Meryl Streep and Springsteen came out and joined them for last.

Elsewhere in the issue, Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to Green with a stirring rendition of "Simply Beautiful", which drew a smile from the singer. Mavis Staples and Sam Moore sang "Take Me to the River" to each other, while Usher broke his way through enduring success of Green, "We'll be together." This last performance took the audience and dance, including Obama and night other honorees.

"The Kennedy Center celebrates five extraordinary individuals who have spent their lives raising the cultural vitality of our nation and the world," said Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein said in a statement before the event. Of the two musical honorees, said, "the iconic voice of Al Green awakens our souls in a style that is all your own; The only voice of Sting and composition of memorable songs have entertained audiences for decades"

Springsteen Sting previously performed "The Rising" at the event in 2009, when the leader of the E Street Band was honored. Musical Kennedy Center Honors recipients last year included Hancock, Billy Joel and Carlos Santana.

Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars Strut Through Retro 'Uptown Funk'

Earlier this month, the Grammy-winning producer Mark Ronson released "Uptown Funk," a cheerful one, in collaboration with Bruno Mars. Now the duo has paired wiry slap bass on that track and galactic synths with an equally retro music video, which finds the two musicians decked out in the late seventies attire as they dance along the streets of the city.

Ronson remains mostly in the background, with Mars taking the spotlight as he straps feel good lyrics for the track. Along the (co-directed by Mars and Cameron Duddy) clip, the couple and their enthusiastic crew enjoy a shoeshine, get their hair permed and jive with confidence with a limousine. Highlights: As Mars sings the line, "Fill my cup, put some liquor in it," one of his friends forces.

"Uptown Funk" is the first single from the upcoming fourth album Ronson, Special Uptown, which drops January 27 on RCA Records. He and Mars, along with a "special guest", the track held Nov. 22 episode of Saturday Night Live.

Most of the Special Residential zone was co-written and produced by Jeff Bhasker Ronson and more than 18 months in studies covering London, Memphis, Los Angeles and New York. The LP also features a number of lyrics by American novelist Michael Chabon, along with significant vocal and instrumental contributions from Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker. Other musical collaborators include Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, producer Emile Haynie, Simian Mobile Disco James Ford, Hudson Mohawke TNGHT and DJ Zinc.

Ronson previously partnered with Bhasker and Smeezingtons production team for three songs - "Moonshine", "gorilla" and the chart-topping "Locked out of Heaven" - Mars' 2012 LP, Unorthodox Jukebox.

Bruno Mars Charms The Shit Out Of Everyone On Day 1 Of The Squamish Valley Music Festival

At this point in the summer, how is anyone who attends music festivals not ruin or hospital? Surely not at the festival in our province have $ 300 left in his bank accounts for inputs-and left enough serotonin in their brains to achieve other-weekend party.

Wrong!

Legions of people who seem to have endless supplies of money, wreaths insatiable appetites, and Andre the Giant-esque tolerance for drugs and alcohol swarmed the opening day of the Music Festival Squamish Valley. (Notably absent were about 80 lightweights Boonstock Festival last weekend in Penticton music.)
But how long would it last? Walking down a serene, winding path to the entrance of the festival, a fellow shirtless annihilated in a clown mask, too drunk to walk at 2 pm If this was how the day was going, hopefully the medical staff had numerous pumps stomach and enough to power a locomotive activated carbon site.

This year, the annual blowout has an expanded to accommodate more revelers and brands looking to "activate" through the power of marketing of events. To give you an idea of how big the new festival is, if you smoke half a pack of cigarettes a day (well, a complete package) and legs are still sore after playing soccer with a group of 12 years five days old, it takes about 20 minutes walk from the stage Stawamus on one side of the gardens of the main stage Tantalus, on the other. (Or 15 minutes if not stopped to smoke a cigarette.)

This means you have to make some tough decisions because you cannot possibly see all the acts. Sorry Foster the People, it's not my fault you were far away and a whole overlap with the man who released one of the best rap albums of all time, the man who played halftime show of Super Bowl this year, and the DJ whose voluptuous, flowing mane has its own Twitter parody account (TommyTrashsHair).
"Are you ready to get wonderful? Can smell something in the air," asked Lykke Li, the first of the heavyweights of the festival to go on stage Stawamus before performing "Sadness is a blessing." Surprisingly, it turned out to be more vocal day weed defender. Little in his unique system called the effort with Swedish style, "Can someone pass that joint on stage, please?"

Someone handed him a forced and massive. He jerked away from him and placed it on a keyboard to save for later. Lykke Li Zachrisson Timotej Svensson! I'm not sure how things are going down at music festivals in Sweden, but here in Squamish, bogarting called a company and is not a fun thing to do.

Nas, who was playing right after our pot queen, received the second-most shout-outs to Li. He kept going on about how excited I was to see the half-man, half-amazing-MC and even devoted a whole to him before "Youth Knows No Pain". However, unless Elon Musk installed HYPERLOOP for talent to travel between stages, it is unlikely that she called legendary rapper.

"If you have heard of my first album, Illmatic, for 20 years, put his hands in the air," Nasty Nas early in his set. If not required, which was fine as it was about to make a whole. With upwards of 14 women sitting on the shoulders of men, Nas reached the third track of the album, the chorus of which is probably a motto for many a festivalgoer: "Life's a bitch and then you die / Es why we have high / 'Cuz you never know when you'll go. "

The 40-year-old rapper Illmatic burned through in 30 minutes,
ending with "It is difficult to say." Then he reached into his vast catalog, and after "If I Ruled the World (Imagine that)" sincerely told us. "You know I love you" Heck, we were a little unsure, Nas, so it was nice to hear that really says.

Sure, you could hang around and listen to another 20 minutes of classic rap, but there was a DJ with a fantastic hair playing on stage dance music. No one was there when it began, but Tommy Trash locks looked great. As it grew darker, however, the appeal drops low samples and Lil Jon shouting "down so that" it proved irresistible and people slowly fist-pumped into there, even though Bruno Mars was about to get on the main stage.

If any schlub read Bruno Mars lyrics from a sheet of paper, which came across as cornball lines collection. However, his undeniable charisma, talent and charm means every woman drops one of those lines would diminish her panties. Rocking a fedora and the best smile I've ever seen, he opened with "Moonshine", "Natalie", then "treasure." Fortunately, his exceptional band accompaniment, the Hooligans, abided by the old rule one fedora per crew.

During the making of "First Timers" Mars transitioned versions of "Pony" by Ginuwine and "on" remix by R. Kelly, and that proved to be the-grind-the-person-you-next time the festival. He followed with "Marry You", it was time lift-the-nearest-female-on-his-shoulders day. After an interlude of piano, global pop superstar returned with a new fedora to end "Grenade" and "Just the way you are", the all-women-in-Squamish-was-feeling-beautiful-while-singing -along time.

He was then apparently everything and slowly people began to file out of the festival. Rookie mistake! Mars had not played "Locked in Heaven" yet. And if you were not already sold on the talent that this guy is that he chose to play a long drum solo introduction to his most successful.

Viewing Mars sing, dance, and charm the hell out of everyone, it was not hard to see why people are proclaiming the next Michael Jackson. Fortunately, there was no king of pop (and Pepsi!) Comparisons to be made when he received a shower of sparks during the final issue of the series, "Gorilla" because her hair did not catch fire.

Fittingly, the best song of Mars ever appears on "Bubble Butt" of Major Lazer, played over the speakers as we booked the arena to catch Blueprint Boys Noize.

"Are you ready to get turnt up?" A brother shirtless near me asked his friend. Everyone was, and dance stage was now officially raging fucking type of game that does not always want their parents to know that you were on.

Headliner EDM festival, Boys Noize, was in its socket LED-stand and drop an aggressive set that included his song "Excuse Me", Danny Brown remix of "Smokin and Drinkin" and House of Pain "Jump Around" . I guess one of those songs that received the most ecstatic response from all muscular shirtless men?

At one point during their set a woman asked to borrow my lighter. I later she and a group of friends who all had joined arms and were doing a routine with his dancing Rockettes style kick saw. In the name of God they were smoking? Why not offer to share? Lykke Li, I blame you for this!

Walking back to his car along the winding path, you could hear the howling and screaming campers. It was 2 am, but the party will continue well into the morning. Sure, they were having fun now, but this was only day 1 we will see that it has an overdraft and still standing come Sunday night.

Bruno Mars Does It All And Wants To Rock

Bruno Mars performs during the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York.

RALEIGH - Several songs in his show Saturday night at a sold-out PNC Arena, Bruno Mars stopped playing long enough to give a little speech about what the crowd was waiting time. Mars and his band were there, told the audience, that all "Movin 'dancing, Shakin', sweating."

Mars grin and read rakish also allow the crowd in the fact that, like any good rock star, who also wanted to get witchou. But if there was a revelation for the show, is that Mars appears to be a rocker at heart.

As good of an R & B love man as Mars is, the highlights of his 100-minute set came when he tied a guitar and let lament, from a letter making perfect Fort "The Barrett classical money (which is what I want) "the way John Lennon used to. And just before the encore, Mars evoked some guitar flourishes at the end of "Granada", which suggested that fireworks Guitar Prince of "Let crazy."

It is clear and undeniable that Mars is derived. But he wears it with pride and he's just so danged good in anything and everything that comes with it. When Justin Timberlake often comes across as a serious contender clamoring for admission to the Pantheon, Mars just sort of slides into and convinces you that he belongs there.

His inauguration, Aloe Blacc, was not so convincing. Set an hour Blacc was a fun game of "Name That Tune" with the originals that sometimes seemed about to be transitioned over known songs that sounded like (including actual quotes from "God Bless the Child”, of the Jackson 5 "I Want Back" and Elton John's "Your Song"). But Blacc had a moment of genius to show his vocal Avicii Swedish deejay hit "Wake Me Up", a song that was made to go in large buildings full of people. He did.

As Mars, its set was a sensory overload early. The lights dimmed, drumline beats started and the curtain fell to reveal the fog, lasers, choreography and star giving himself an air of cold indifference. Rocking white felt hat, Mars seemed as if he wandered in the golf course to beat this crowd fit.

Despite his casual cool, Mars had a set supertight with his band showing the best transition game this side of the San Antonio Spurs. A medley paired a couple of songs from reggae to R & B love-man seduction "Our first time." That turned into a riff of Santo & Johnny 1959 dream guitar instrumental "Sleepwalk" which begat own shaken-up Mars "Marry You." Was the turn-on-a-dime, and almost as entertaining as musicology puts.

As a vocalist, Mars still throw money "When I was your man," a torch song melted as ever. (It will be interesting to see if he can still put across convincingly than a decade and several thousand interpretations on the line.) The encore proved that a) on top of everything else, Mars is also a pretty mean drummer can play a drum solo arena-rock very credible; b) a combination of lasers and confetti is fresh, even a seizure-inducing species form.

Jack Johnson One-Ups Bruno Mars In Race For Hometown Hero

Jack Johnson live, work and amazes children from local schools in Hawaii, but that is rarely done there, so it was a big problem when his first exhibition in hometown over two years was announced recently.

More remarkable? The fact that tickets for the first performance August 1 Hawaii residents will be offered only. Purchases made on Saturday, May 10 will have to have a Hawaii zip code billing; purchases made on Sunday, May 11 will have no geographical limitation.

While Johnson has been a proud and loyal guy Hawaii all his life, the movement is a clear response to the recent fiasco Bruno Mars tickets, which angered many locals and even inspired legislative action.

Mars Honolulu April shows sold out in two hours, according to OnlineTicketSpot , 42 percent of concert tickets were purchased by people out of state. Hawaii Residents then were desperate to tackle speculators who allegedly were selling return tickets to local Hawaii in a large profit margin.

Johnson, whose tour is to promote her sixth studio album, "From Here to Now to You" announced her North American dates in January, but just added the Hawaii this week shows. According to the promoter Matty Hazelgrove, "really wanted to support Hawaii and the Hawaii community and to give them a first chance to buy a ticket.”

Johnson may have gained some ground on Mars in the career of local boy done good, but they are both still behind the local hero, Barack Obama.

Hawaii Announces Bruno Mars Day Again

Hawaii announced December 19 as a day Bruno Mars, and then, once again, Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie said Monday, April 21, 2014, as Bruno Mars Day. Usually, when a State announces a holiday,

it's a one-time event. The new date coincides with the three-day concert that was sold in Honolulu. He is not the first singer to have a day dedicated to them; in 2008, Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hanneman said Day Don Ho.

According to the governor's spokesman, Justin Fujioka, daily forth are dedicated to certain days in certain years. In other words, this is a one-time event for this year alone.

Mars will be recognized not only for their current job, but also as one of the fastest rising stars of Hawaii. In an interview with Honolulu Pulse, said he left Hawaii for your last location in Oahu tour because I wanted to show how proud you are of where it comes from.

He began his career at the early age of four doing imitations of Elvis Presley. Mars real break was in 2010 with her hit song, just as you are. Announcing that Bruno Mars was getting a new day had to have been a great honor , especially how much he loves Hawaii.

Since the Super Bowl, his reputation has soared. When he was asked in an interview if there was somewhere I could go unrecognized, was a heavy pause no real answer. It really should not be surprising since it is considered a great hero today.

He has not done any interview from his appearance in the Super Bowl. Even his interview with Honolulu Pulse made by phone. It seems that the singer is doing her best to keep a low profile.

He said he did not want to cause a fuss and become the reason someone gets hurt. He had a five-day break before their performance in Hawaii, which gave him the opportunity to catch up with his family. It has probably kept busy, because Mars mentioned having at least 220 members of the family living in Hawaii. He also mentioned that the only thing I missed most Zippy is a fast food chain that has existed since the 1960s.

Even said it would instead go if you opened a Zippy in Los Angeles, California. The three-day concert that was scheduled in Honolulu sold out in less than two hours. They had to stop the concert on the last day as a bomb threat came in, but security swept the area and everything was clear.

Security also had to start the concert to 10 people fighting, but apparently this was not related to the bomb threat. Hawaiians have to remember not to add the second day of Bruno Mars to their calendars, because it is a one-time event. Race of Mars has been so successful in the last four years and is a true inspiration to other native Hawaiians.

‘The Voice’: Top 12 Advance As Josh Kaufman’s Bruno Mars Cover Brings The House Down

On Tuesday night ( April 15) , the team of Usher was the only group allowed to compete in the playoffs voice (at least those in which Shakira, Usher, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine coaches were in charge of the vote ) .

There were plenty of ambitious attempts of the contestants, and although not all were hits, Usher Team showed it to be a force this season!

TJ Wilkins , Melissa Jimenez, Stevie Jo , Bria Kelly and Josh Kaufman made by all the affection of URSH , leaving him with a difficult decision at the end of the night. Here's how they did it, and how voice Top 12 live rounds was made up.

TJ Wilkins
TJ Wilkins starts the night with Rufus & Chaka Khan’s "Tell Me Something Good” written by Stevie Wonder one success. It is the first of several orders height overnight, and TJ delivers the goods.

“The audience loved it," says Shakira. “I did too, because you are so touching and so committed.”

“You are a breath of fresh air, as I really want to entertain people," says Adam.

"That was solid," said Blake, adding that although once questioned the choice of Usher to advance on Biff TJ Gore, "I'm on board now, 100 percent.”

“You killed altogether," says Usher. "Unfortunately I have to choose two dropouts, and three who remain. This is going to be difficult."

Melissa Jimenez

Usher Melissa Jimenez is trying to make the transition to “MJ” but as the music box learned the hard way: though Carson Daly introduced him to the blind auditions, which is the name you're stuck with. Melissa / MJ does it reveal a new fun fact, though:

once she was pulled on stage to dance during the tour of Usher’s Truth! The whole situation is very reminiscent of Courteney Cox and "Dancing in the Dark” by Bruce Springsteen time, which is never a bad thing.

Melissa sings a simplified version of Beyonce "Halo”, and unfortunately, viewers can feel every bump in the road.

"It was a very brave decision to take this down," says Shakira. “I think it was a great reward.”

"There is no way to really excel in this program unless you take risks," Adam says, but notes that he heard some problems. "I think there were times that were really beautiful, I think there were times when we had problems.”

"I thought it was solid,” Blake countered. "There was a time when you probably did not get a big enough breath to reach that note," he adds.

“You understand that this was a live or die moment," says Usher. "It's the effort you put into it you got here.” Then goes on to tell you to love music but this nets, which is a good track to begin preparations for the trip home.

Stevie Jo
Soul singer with the heavy metal lineage, Stevie Jo, is still around, despite only winning a seat back in the blind auditions. He makes a risky choice with blues classic "The Thrill is Gone " by BB King, and does it well. The performance has some shaky notes, although his falsetto is the point.

“I like to see Stevie Jo perform, because it's like you're sneaking up on a rabbit," says Blake, who is the most accomplished Oklahoman ever done. “I know you're the real deal.”

"When you're singing the blues, to me, all technical analysis goes out the window.’s about how to emote," says Adam.

"I enjoyed many things about his performance," says Shakira. "I enjoyed his falsetto and his husky voice.”

"I 'm a fan of how brave you are as a singer," says Usher. "I think what made the great record justice.”

Bria Kelly
Raspy singer Bria Kelly Blue takes on classic Rolling Stones. The four- seat Turner sings "Wild Horses" and, aside from using his guitar only to accessorize your outfit (girl, at least leave the hands near the ropes if you want to be convincing!), was his best performance to date.

Sparse Primary Market Assists Drive Up Price of Bruno Mars Tickets on Secondary Market

Since the average time in the Super Bowl, there has been a lasting result on the secondary market prices of tickets for Bruno Mars. Two months after the Super Bowl, prices on the secondary market are not enough to astronomical levels were immediately after the match but "Moonshine Jungle 'remains one of the most expensive musical tours of the year. Much of this is because it is the only place to buy tickets for most of the next dates the secondary market. Among the remaining 48 shows Americans on 'Moonshine Jungle', 27 are not available in the primary market. The next leg of the tour begins in the home state of Hawaii Mars. As with many other artists performing in his home state, Hawaii Bruno Mars tickets are well above the average price in the rest of the tour.

The prices could be even higher, however the singer will perform three separate shows on April 18, 19 & 21 adhere to the demand for tickets that have sold the 3 dates. The demand was so high; the Hawaii State Senate passed what is known today as the "Law of Bruno Mars" which limits buys of all tickets through the first 48 hours of sales to deter physical box office resale of tickets. But beyond that period, the average price on the secondary market all through these three shows is $ 376, with a get-in average price of $ 67. The average of $ 376 is 30.5% above the tour mean total $ 288.36.
For eight choose shows through the remaining dates, Mars will be joined by Pharrell Williams, four of which will be held in New York and Los Angeles. Mars would have had no problem selling the Hollywood Bowl or Madison Square Garden on their own, but there is no doubt adding Pharrell helped with the sales of the four concerts. The average price Bruno Mars tickets Los Angeles has an average price of $ 426.52, 48% higher than the average tour, and an average get-in price of $ 150 for the May 31 and June 1. Hilarious: Bruno Mars Purchases ‘Bootleg’ Bruno Mars Albums

As the music industry continues to fight against music piracy, one of its main cash cows Bruno Mars took double hours ago pretty hilarious when he bought copies of "pirates" of their own brands materials.

Story below ...

While in Bangkok, the "Get Sexy” writer was one of the street markets in the city, during a break from his ' Moonshine Jungle Tour. "

This is where he saw illegal copies of their records sold by street vendors who sell unprepared star without realizing who he was.

What was the reaction of the pop star Bruno Mars' to find pirated copies of their music for sale here in Bangkok ? " WhatayaGonnaDo? "

Bruno Mars in Bangkok WhatayaGonnaDo?

How do you say “What you going to do?” Speak English?

If you're a pop star Bruno Mars speaks with an American accent that goes “WhatayaGonnaDo?”
It was his reaction here in Bangkok last week, when he saw some of his albums on sale in the office of a local CD vendor. The problem, of course, was that these pirated discs (illegal copies), so that, as the artist, received money from the sale.

Instead of getting angry, he shrugged “WhatayaGonnaDo?” Meaning “What can I do?" The answer “Not much." Music pirates are everywhere.

Mars, of course, was in Bangkok for something much more important than pay the fine - Asian concert tour segment “Moonshine Live”, which took place last Thursday in Bangkok.

There are plenty of short YouTube videos that show parts of the concert, but it seems that most local video authors were seats away from the scene. Here is one that was more narrow and short excerpts from several of the songs performed by superstar performances.

Bruno Mars At Vector Arena Review

He is the self-proclaimed 'original hooligan and Auckland Vector Arena on Saturday night , Bruno Mars doo- wop'd their way through the album Unorthodox Jukebox - with some small surprises - as part of the tour Moonshine Jungle .

It is the second trip to Auckland Mars , after the tour of Doo -Wops and Hooligans in 2011.

Looking handsome as ever , and embrace the retro show we've come to expect , Mars opened the show with the title track from the album " Moonshine " , followed by fireworks and song about gold - digging b * tch ' Natalie ' (Natalie , if you 're reading this , you should know Mars is looking ) , and the ' great treasure ' .

Nonstop from beginning to end, sellout were also treated with ' If I knew ', ' Show Me' and ' Billionaire ' old favorites ' Granada ' , 'Just the way you are ' and ' Marry You'.
Something confusing to Mars younger fans , but no less enjoyable were his interpretations of 'Money (That's what I want ) " and R Kelly ' Ignition Remix ' - heard a whispered to her friend ," I'm not sure what album is of . "

Highlights include : "When I was your man '- a song gave Mars was the most difficult for him to write and remains the most difficult to perform as well as " Runaway Baby' and silly, but relatable 'Lazy Song' .
The only lowlight for this review was the large number of cell phones in the air at any given time - Honestly ,

how we all enjoy concerts before we could snapchat whole thing to our friends who were not there ?The Auckland leg Moonshine Jungle Tour wrapped with not one but two encores and pyrotechnics ; ' Locked out of Heaven ' , preceded by a single impressive by Mars on drums, and the natural ' Gorilla' ,

which includes the lyrics to " I Got full of liquor body, with a kicker of cocaine, and I feel like I 'm ten feet tall "and" you and me baby make love like gorillas " - as it was a concert of all ages , I wish the parents of many children under 10 years in the explanation of the fate that one .

Mars demonstrated that as its popularity has grown , so has his stage presence and the completion of the tour , said he left everything out there on the sand.
